Summer is suddenly gone and just like most Seattleites I am not ready to let it go. Hearty and Fragrant Stew with Pork, Chorizo, Butter Beans and Kale or My Take on Spanish Fabada Asturiana

This wonderfully fragrant dish was inspired by Spanish fabada. Fabada Asturiana is a thick stew made of large white beans, pork (sometimes salted) and chorizo sausage and often spiced with smoked paprika and saffron.  Sort of cassoulet, Spanish style.

Chocolate Salami (or A Little Chocolate Never Hurts, part 3)

Even though this salami is made of chocolate and cookies, it looks indistinguishable from the real one, doesn’t it? Besides being a great conversation piece, it’s also absolutely delicious and ridiculously easy to make.
